Beauty and the Beast (Lyttleton Harbour)

Posted by
Linerberry (Herne Bay, United Kingdom) on 23 February 2011 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

Hi Folks,
this is an image that I posted back in 2008 and I thought it was appropriate to post it again as Lyttleton was the epicentre of yesterdays devastating 6.3 earthquake here in Christchurch. The title is the same as it was in 2008 but this time I feel it suits it for a very different reason - the beast this time being uncontrolable and unpredicatable, taking lives and causing so much pain!
Sorry I haven't been around for a while, I do think of you all. Just been getting my life back together after Sept 4th and then this! Still, I am not alone and I am by no means the worse off. I am alive and have my friends. My heartfelt love goes out to all affected by this terrible frightening earthquake.
I will be returning to the UK in April - for a good while! So I hope to get posting again soon. XXX Thank you for this wonderful family! I'd forgotten how much you all keep me sane! XX

I miss your presence here, but today my heart is aching for all of you having to go through this horrible earthquake, with its loss of so many lives and the destruction it caused. I am sure you are counting the days until your departure. I send you my prayers!

Here it is, another Silly Tuesday and I'm thinking of you. Here in the states, we haven't heard any progress reports on NZ after the quake; everything now is about Japan's and now the nuclear issue. Your trip home is coming up soon; I hope it offers healing of your soul. ... God bless.

I hope you will see that your Silly Tuesday is being credited as something we Am3'ers continue, even in your absence. This was included in the June 1212 newsletter:

Silly Tuesday - a bit of Aminus3 history
Here at Aminus3 we've had many ideas and contributions shared by members over the years. One in particular that seems to continue is called Silly Tuesday. This concept was originally credited to Linerberry, and the idea is that anyone who wants to participate, can upload an image each Tuesday that makes them smile, provides some comic relief, or is otherwise a bit goofier than they'd normally post. It's a way to let go of trying to post technically compelling perfect photos, and just be silly for a day.
