Looks too high off the ground for me. Is that low cloud at the top of the photo

@jamesy: Thanks J, yes it is low cloud! I was sitting watching in the bright sunlight when this whisp of a cloud appeared from nowhere and drifted down the slope. It was pretty magical:-))

beautiful shot Liner! it reminds me of earings from this distance... or Christmas tree ornaments. delicate and surrounded by all that fresh and powdery white! :)

@dj.tigersprout: Thankd dj:-) i love the way you see things:-))) Perhaps I could have taken some of the 'noise' out of the photo, what do you think? Not got the software to do that yet but will do soon.

Kylie Greenan from Richmond, Australia

Wow, that colour is amazing, such crisp blue, I am scared of heights so not sure I'd ever manage a shot like this Liners, thanks for taking me up there as it is really beautiful. I have heard that shooting snow is really difficult but you make it look so easy! The detail here is just amazing, SPLENDID Gal!

14 Aug 2008 6:46am

@Kylie Greenan: Thanks Kylie you are so kind, I always love reading your comments:-)) I'm sure you would manage a shot like this K if you came over here...you just wouldn't be able to resist it ....:-)))

maxine from Rangiora, New Zealand

The powdery snow is evident in this shot and adds to the ethereal feel to this shot. The snow, shiny puff of cloud and the lift disappearing are all lovely.

JoeB from Brampton, Canada

Amazing shots how do you achieve the heights.

14 Aug 2008 3:49pm

@JoeB: Thanks Joe. The height for this shot was easy...I sat outside the ski lodge having a hot cup of coffee, looking down on the ski lift which started quite low down and then just disappeared into the cloud!

Observing from West Cheshire, United Kingdom
