Peculier skies

Back home in the UK I spent time in Lancashire visiting family and staying with Uncle Martin. The next few shots are from my stay at Uncle Martins and some walks we went on.

"SILLY TUESDAY ANNOUNCEMENT"

Due to the Festive Season and Folks being busy, and hopefully silly, SILLY TUESDAY will return to full service on the 12th January 2010.
Until then...keep up the Silliness that has become Tuesday and keep thinking Silly thoughts as you take those Christmas and New Year shots!!!

Oh yes...this is an awesome shot. Looks like there is a beam in the middle going straight up (to the aliens?). It's a fantastic sunset!

Simply a wonderful shot, Liners! Very special tones of orange and mauve (?). Love the way the scattering takes the edge off the blues at the top. Agreed: the skies are peculiar... but only in the sense that such rays are somewhat rare. Good eye, as always, to see the potential and capture it. There's nothing peculiar about that. That vertical strip of light, center, is the exhaust plume of an alien spacecraft. From the look of it, I'd say they overcompensated for meson flux when they crossed the event horizon.
