This is the ceiling of the Arab Room inside Cardiff Castle , I was there last weekend. I wasn't going to post many more shots just yet as I will be travelling around again next week so won't be visiting but I was persuaded by my lovely Sis-in-Law MrsAmber to post this image as she really loved it when we were brousing through my shots yesterday. This image is also for Madscientist who inspired me to look upwards and see the symmetry! Thank you both:-)
"SILLY TUESDAY ANNOUNCEMENT"
Due to the Festive Season and Folks being busy, and hopefully silly, SILLY TUESDAY will return to full service on the 12th January 2010.
Until then...keep up the Silliness that has become Tuesday and keep thinking Silly thoughts as you take those Christmas and New Year shots!!!

Thanks for posting this, Liners - this one really stood out when we were looking through your shots..I can't believe the detail on this ceiling...and this picture captures it splendidly, so crisply and sharply even though you can see the light level is low. 5 stars to you and my shot of the day today - I know that already and I haven't started having a look round yet! I'll say it again (cos I said it over and over yesterday looking at this shot) WOW!! Have a nice day!!

stunning Liners I remember visiting Cardiff castle 20 yrs ago but couldn't take any photos as my camera had an automatic flash and you weren't allowed to use flash photography. Good on you Kate for making her post this one

@jamesy: Hay Jamesy!! Thanks heaps:-) I was amazed at what I could achieve withough a flash. I thought they would all be too dark, but I have to say this ceiling was well lit. Hope all going well mate:-)

Stunning ceiling. Been to Cardiff but never bothered to go in the Castle. What a mistake. Great picture

Yup - this is a truly beautiful ceiling. I work as a tour guide at the castle in my spare time and this is just one of the incredibly detailed rooms in the castle. I love watching people's reactions as I take them through the rooms. They cannot believe what they are seeing. You have captured the detail beautifully.
