P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomGreat attempt, not sure if the subject suits 100% but one has to give all things a try 27 May 2009 5:19am @P J W Miller: I know....I wasn't sure about the subject either. Very nice photo. 27 May 2009 8:14am Jean-François from Les Issambres, Francecooooooooooooooooooooool **************** 27 May 2009 8:24am MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyI like that selective focus. Did you use a software for this or a real lens? 27 May 2009 8:27am @MadScientist: I used http://tiltshiftmaker.com/ I have just discovered this thanks to a lovely am3er. Its free and great fun!!! MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomThanks to Anthony yesterday I now know how to do this! I was planning to have a go but thought I needed a 'looking down on a town' sort of shot. but with this shot it has worked too! It gives it that strange toy-town look even though it is water..I suppose it looks like 'Thunderbirds' water! It really is a strange effect ..a very good first attempt! I really must try it myself. ....xxx tick tock...xxx 27 May 2009 8:43am @MrsAmber: I know , I wasn't sure about the subject cos it does seem to lend itself to town/city scenes but hay....you know me sis...ever the hopeful!!! lol Glad u like it:-) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaStunning photo, wow, I love the sea, so much....Have a great time BerryBooxx 27 May 2009 9:54am Ravi from Bangalore, IndiaSplash! quite unusual work with focus. well tried and it has come out good 27 May 2009 9:57am djedfre from schaumburg, United Statesvery cool - like something emerging from the sea! 27 May 2009 10:01am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomNice picture though tilt and shift does not convince me in general as a technique and I suspect this was a better shot without it. 27 May 2009 10:06am @grouser: Thanks for your constructive comment:-) I did miss you legs on Silly Tuesday....you know what its like with me and you....I seem to get your posts a day behind even though I watch your blog!!!! We have tried to work it out but it seems not to be!!! Lovely legs and thank you for being a Silly Billy!!!! Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(old Pembroke Dock boy,Wales), GermanyI´ve just had a look at that site,I´ll have to try it out(I´ve muddled through on my own until now doing tilt shift) 27 May 2009 10:10am @Anthony Morgan Lambert: Cheers mate!!! Glad you like the software...it is fun! You are right that one needs a higher vantage point for this to work. I think I was a bit over excited and just wanted to do something and realised I had few shots that would be best for this. So I got excited.....what the heck, we're all friends lol!!!! Looking forward to some TnS from you:-) jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesI tried "tilt-shift maker" also. can't seem to find a picture that I like yet. This is a pretty cool effect. 27 May 2009 10:25am @jeff (aka dogilicious): Its a funny old thing and I think one has to be a bit selective....as I said to Anthony.....I just got a bit carried away lol!!! Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United StatesIt's a cool shot!!! Now I have to go and find out what "tilt & shift" is!!! 27 May 2009 12:29pm @Veronique: Have a look at my comment to madscientist and click on the link:-) MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI think it works really well with this shot, half the fun is experimenting. :) 27 May 2009 2:49pm zOOm from Paris, FranceThat's really great, I do love this effect as well ! I haven't had much success with tilt-n-shift photos, but I think maybe I need something with a little broader perspective.
