Monique from Koh Samui, AfghanistanI have to agree, the composition of this one is much stronger because of the wide angle and because of the vegetation in the foreground there's more depth. The sky looks great and impressive. Beautiful sunset! 23 Jan 2009 5:15am Kathryn from Warburton, Australiaso wonderful and dramatic! i think i personally prefer the other one though this one is a great image itself! i find the plants in the foreground in this one a liitle distracting and the clouds in the other one a bit softer. Anyway they are both great and i always like to see multiple shots of an interesting scene like this one - it gives me more information to imagine what it is like to stand there myself! where is Ferrymead? 23 Jan 2009 9:20am @Kathryn: Ferrymead is just outside Christchuch on the way to Sumner....I drive this way to and from work! MrsAmber from West Wickham, United Kingdom[Note name change..I've had the chance to sign up now but still not posted any piccies] 23 Jan 2009 10:26am Eric Fry from Houston, TX, United StatesSuch dark and brooding clouds, looks like there's about to be quite a storm. I love the colors reflected on the water, very well done! 23 Jan 2009 10:36am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaDark, moody and delicious, and some champagne colour to top it off, bravo little one ;) 23 Jan 2009 10:47am JoeB from Brampton, CanadaMuch better the more detail the more story. its like going from 600 words to a 1,000 words. :D 23 Jan 2009 2:59pm Jeff from Pembroke Dock, Wales., United KingdomClass shot Liner, really like it.. 23 Jan 2009 5:02pm Nacho from Salem, OR, United StatesGood eye for that moment! Ominous clouds, with various layers (sky, water, strip of land...). Thank you Liner! 23 Jan 2009 6:20pm djedfre from schaumburg, United Statesmark me up for this one - though they're both great! i do prefer the wider angle and the reeds in the foreground in this one... 23 Jan 2009 8:13pm Maxine from Rangiora, New ZealandThis is so dramatic -i love a good sky! Even more so if reflected. With wonderful colours to it. 26 Jan 2009 10:44pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesI like it better too. The foreground adds quite a bit to the shot. 26 Jan 2009 10:56pm Anita from West Nottingham, United StatesI like this composition a lot. The way the clouds form a triangle pointing at the hills, the shape of the land forming a triangle, the bit of plants in foreground, the low horizong, the colors. 27 Jan 2009 10:46am |
