Lyttelton Harbour

Posted by Linerberry (Christchurch, New Zealand) on 29 December 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A view from Godley Head Cliffs which are 120 meters high. In 1852 the cliffs were marked for defence purposes by early European settlers because it was possible to see for an immense distance down Lyttelton Harbour and beyond. Hence why they are popular for walks...great views!
