My special place......

Posted by Linerberry (Sumner, Christchurch, New Zealand) on 7 November 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

....is with my family:-)
I know this is not a photographic masterpiece. It was taken in Feb 2006 with my first ever camera Olympus 4.1 mp point and shoot!
I went home to the Uk to see my family (I live in NZ). We spent a week in the Lake District....Mum, Brother, Sis in Law, and my 3 lovely nephews! It was Mums birthday and I had gone home to celebrate with my family. It was also 3 years since our lovely Dad/Husband/Father in law/Grandad had passed, so a fitting time to meet and be together. We went on lots of walks, spent time laughing, ate good food, laughed some more, had silly disagreements (cos thats what families do), laughed some more, walked some more and thats how the week went. It was just a lovely time "with my family".....thats my Special Place:-)

Thank you so much to my lovely friend kyles
for this great idea of sharing a "special Place"
For more special places go to kylie

Don't forget****** "Silly Tuesday" ******where you can post anything that is silly, funny, daft or just makes you laugh!!!
Its a family affair.....

Thanks for sharing such a personal shot. I remember going to Australia with my parents 11 years ago to visit my Dad's sister who he hadn't seen for 27 years. We had a really great time and it became even more important to us when he died a few years later.
