Golden Bay

Posted by Linerberry (Christchurch, New Zealand) on 31 October 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Golden Bay is nestled into the South Island's north-west corner NZ. A chain of steep and rugged mountains cuts its fertile river plains and valleys from the rest of the island. Unless you're a migrating whale, you don't go past Golden Bay on your way to anywhere.

LOL, I love what you said about only migrating whales ever coming here! I remember we took a holiday here when I was really little, we stayed in Collingwood which is next to Farewell Spit. I remember thinking at the time that it was the end of the world! But I have always remembered that holiday just as you have captured it here - beautiful blue skies and the sands stretching away in a gentle curve... Its such a magnificent place, and a really lovely capture Liners.
