Its amazing what you find when having a quiet game of golf....this fella was making one heck of a noise at the 2nd hole!!! I couldn't see him at first until I followed the noise and found him hiding in the bushes! My golf mates just lauged and said...there she is again off with the camera!! He was not at all disturbed by me and actually seemed to go for a pose when I donned my camera. It was 10.30am so what the heck he was doing singing the 'dawn chorus' I'll never know lol!! A handsome fello:-)

...far out Liners you are damn hilarious girl, I can see you ...on the second hole.. "hang on a minute" runs off, fighting back the trees to find the culprit of the noise... "right you, what time do you think this is then? Go on, srike a pose".... hahahaa. I am at work KILLING myself laughing. Ok, I have regained some decorum, this is a great image, you have captured him well, he seems a little suprised at your entrance, but I think this suits the image so well... but I must say today your narrative is priceless, thanks so much for a great laugh... you are a funny girl Chuck! Have a great weekend!

Anthony Lambert from Bielefeld, Germany

You´ve caught him well though !!

17 Oct 2008 6:30am

@Anthony Lambert: I think he was probably protecting all the balls in the bush....so to speak lol!!!!

jamesy from christchurch, New Zealand

Great shot Liners and I thought you were continuing with the early morning theme. Was this the round of golf when you were supposed to be somewhere else? only joking LOL

17 Oct 2008 6:33am

@jamesy: Hi Deb...sorry for the sudden change in direction@^#@&%$#*! And yes this is the game of golf when i was supposed to be at your house....I will admit to my disgrace but I will also in my defence say we were going to do work related stuff...however if I had known you liked golf you would heve been with me that day.!!! I recon next time we plan to do work stuff we just have a round of golf instead...what do you think????

kylie from Shanghai, China

Perhaps he is wondering where the road went...
Very unexpected find on a golf course. Good-on-you for bringing your camera along with you for the game!

17 Oct 2008 6:42am

@kylie: Thanks Kylie:-)) Its taken me a while to get used to taking my camera everywhere but I can't go without it now!!!! Its not easy on a busy golf course cos one gets frowned at for running off the green to take a shot lol....but its great fun. Will have to take you there when you visit home again!

Do you think your he was planted by the person you were playing to try to disturb your shot or was he looking for a safe place to hide?

Truely amazing shot - A chook up a tree !!!

Maxine from Rangiora, New Zealand

hEHEHE great story and resulting shot! I love the way they like to roost in trees and i would say he has been living in the wild for some time, his hen would not be far away!

JJ from Jersey City, United States

He sure looks like he is posing for you, laughing here imagining a group of following golfers wondering why instead of teeing off on the 2nd one of the group before them has raced off into the bush LOL

bluechameleon from Vancouver, Canada

Oh! A rooster in a tree? This is such a cool and odd shot as for all of my life I have been led to believe that chickens and rooster don't really fly as other birds do.
This is cool!
