It was such an amazing sight. I couldn't believe my luck, I was driving along and trying to find a place to stop safely all the time hoping it didn't change too much! I was very pleased with the result. Cheers mate:-) jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandBeautiful Max. I'm not sure that nights are worth it but its pretty close. There seems to not be ample enough words to describe this girlfriend, stunning seems to fall short. Brilliant sweetie, just brilliant, bravo! 26 Aug 2008 10:57am @Kylie Greenan: Oh girlfriend you flatter me with the word professional...but thats ok I can take it lol!! You are once again very kind my friend:-) Maxine from Rangiora, New ZealandWay to go this is a stunner, but enough of impersonating me! 26 Aug 2008 12:39pm @Maxine: Why than you max:-)) too kind! But who's impersonating who???? Am I the real Max??? Very "Moulder and Scully" of me:-) Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomI only have one word.... spectacular.! 26 Aug 2008 12:45pm @Observing: Thanks heaps Mike:-) Its a spectacular country NZ so a very fitting word! @zOOm: Thanks heaps:-)) Tony Duque from Raleigh, United StatesWonderful shot... thanks for sharing your good fortune and skill. It seems illogical (challenges the paradigm?) that the end (presumably) of your waking hours on a day would be punctuated by such a vivid beginning of a new daylight period. I tried looking at this picture while standing on my head... no help. 26 Aug 2008 5:05pm @Tony Duque: Thank you Tony, and thanks for poping by:-) Hope you didn't hurt yourself on your head!!! lol JoeB from Brampton, CanadaIts worth getting up for the orange clouds, try to stay away from midnight shifts. 27 Aug 2008 12:46am @JoeB: Cheers Joe and thank you:-) I really do try to stay away from the night shifts!!!! Jarrard from Athens, GA, United StatesThe play of light here is excellent with a great (if a bit compressed) dynamic range. I don't know your aperture, but a smaller one (higher number) might have given a more interesting flair of the direct sunlight. Nice picture. 27 Aug 2008 5:11am @Jarrard: Thank you for your comments Jarrard:-) I'm still learning at the moment so I really appreciate your thoughts and advice. K.B from Kvänum, SwedenI love to see the sunset. Your image has most of what makes a good picture. Waters, and that one can imagine that there are no buildings on the other side. But instead of the camera, so you should have a hand to hold on, or even someone to kiss. Have a good day. A hug from Sweden 29 Aug 2008 5:14am @K.B: What a really lovely comment...thank you so much:-)) Kathryn from Warburton, Australiawonderful! i just told you the story of what i will be doing in my 'real life' so what is it that you do that has you working night shifts?? i just found out that the wonderful willow is a ER doctor and so now i am intrigued as to what everyone else spends their 'real life' doing - it would be a good theme day don't you think?? show what you do or where you do it!?!?! 23 Jan 2009 9:41am @Kathryn: It would be a good theme day you are right! I'm a nurse:-) |
