just wonderful and a lovely end -- thank you for this excellent and beautiful series of flower macros! unfortunately is it not spring here, but fall... and already certain trees are beginning to brown in preparation for dropping their leaves! of course we still have 2 months of warm weather left (thank goodness) but it seems like it will be winter so soon! and it is always winter here!! :( that is it -- i am moving to someplace much warmer!

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks dj, I'm really glad you enjoyed it, your words are too kind:-)
Oh dj, you sound so sad about losing the Summer:-(, How long does your winter last? I just find it so fascinating to be communicating with people from all over the world who are experiencing so many different climates, seasons, extreme weather conditions! Hope you're not too sad...Autumn has is wonder and beauty too:-))

JoeB from Brampton, Canada

I'm not much on plants, quite ignorant actually, but it just reminded me of lettuce. The shading from light to dark is a great attraction.

25 Aug 2008 1:13pm

@JoeB: I praise you for your honesty joe:-) I'm glad you like it even if it made you think of a lettuce...lol :-) Isn't photography great!

Observing from West Cheshire, United Kingdom

Perfect shot of your lovely flowers with beautiful colors. To continue with Dj's winter weather, I remember hard frosts and snow, but we don't get that anymore, just winds and rain which is also what this summer has been like. Is this the dreaded global warming..?

25 Aug 2008 6:05pm

@Observing: Or is global warming a conspiracy theory??? Oh no don't go there lol!!! Thanks for following Mike. I too remember really hard frosts in the North of England and we did used to get snow too. I think the last few years have been a bit milder from what people tell me. Christchurch here in NZ has has the most rain on record this winter, I do believe. Very odd but most welcomed due to water shortages last Summer. Anyhoo, rant over. thanks for your kind comments:-)
