Kylie Greenan from Richmond, Australia...and how absolutely stunning it is Liners. I like how there is a line in the water that kind of halves and draws your eye to the beautiful reflection. I also love that there isn't anything in sight but the natural beauty, it makes you feel yourself relaxing just looking at this image. Ahhhh, just lovely! :o) 12 Aug 2008 6:50am @Kylie Greenan: Thanks heaps my friend:-) It was an awesome sight...I just kept breathing in the clean air and marvelling at Mother Nature:-)) maxine from Rangiora, New ZealandI love the way the lake looks like it is half clear glass and half frosted glass, the reflections start after the frosting. Neat shot C. 12 Aug 2008 6:51am @maxine: Thanks Max:-) I know, it was quite strange to see the line in the water but I think it deffinately made the shot more appealing so glad you agree:-)) MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyWonderful panorama! Awesome Highlands !!! wonderful captured .. Unique & beautiful image ! 12 Aug 2008 7:56pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomThis is one super amazing landscape, spectacular !! 12 Aug 2008 8:44pm Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesOh my! What a serene beauty! Magnificent. 13 Aug 2008 12:35am tkbphotos from Salt Lake City, United StatesThis is really beautiful! Is the reflection of the mountain and the clouds really only on half the lake? How did that happen - Is half of it ice? 13 Aug 2008 2:21am @tkbphotos: Very good question!! Now I'm pretty sure it wasn't ice. I thought it was the way the breeze was blowing over the lake...that is, the part that is smooth with the reflection is sheltered by the mauntains whilst the other part was open to the elements of the cool breeze. Now I could be very wrong here, so if anyone has another explanation??.... DarkElf from Perth, Australiastunning view you have captured here! i like your composition and i like the effect that the reflection and the water has on my mind - as though the bottom part of the frame was just glued on where the surface changes from rough into smooth... 13 Aug 2008 3:12am @DarkElf: Thank you...I can see what you mean. It was very strange to see the sky so clearly in the water. Thanks for your comments:-) Kathryn from Warburton, AustraliaOHMYGOODNESS! look at that reflection!!!! Whoah..........!!! also the sharp edge to the snow on the bottom right has a great negative/positive space thing going on - like the water and fog have a solid shape to them - you know what i mean?? i am terrible at try to explain things like that! a very very cool shot Liners! 23 Jan 2009 9:48am |
