Snowboarding trip to Ohau #1. Lake Tekapo

Inland and south of Christchurch, Tekapo is the best place to stop for a break on the way to Ohau. The Lake is stunning though the weather was against me to get a 'postcard' shot, I still liked the atmosphere here! Oh and a random leaning lamp post always helps:-))
Don't forget****** "Silly Tuesday" ******where you can post anything that is silly, funny, daft or just makes you laugh!!!
For those of you that don't know the origin of Silly Tuesday here is a bit if a run down....It started on this day. My thoughts were as follows......
Monday is the start of the week...
Wednesday is the middle of the week.....
Thursday is nearly Friday and Friday is the start of the weekend:-)
I know some people work weekends as I am one of them:-)
But its still the weekend BUT......
What is Tuesday???? Its just a Silly Day that means nothing....so thats where ST came from:-)

Wow, so so pretty, I love this, the soft colours set the image off well Liners, a wonderful peace of work! I like the leaning lampost, gives it heaps of character and leads your eye into the image... top stuff.

The lamppost and the fir tree provide depth into the image. Very feeling of cold and stillness

I like the way you've balanced the elements in the scene to create visual tension. As Observing said, there is a strong feeling of cold and stillness in the picture.
